Greetings!
Can you believe that in just 33 days 6,000 runners will be positioning themselves at the starting line to take their place in the Inaugural Hollywood Half Marathon? Those runners will be making history!
Who would have ever thought about putting on a race in Hollywood, California? One man did.  He saw an opportunity to stand out from all other race directors and be different and embark on an inspiring journey that would cause eyes from all around the globe to focus their attention to what Superhero Events was doing.
On July 1, 2011 Race Director Ken Nwadike Jr announced the Hollywood Half Marathon and it caught the interest of hundreds of runners right off the bat.  Now, 8 months later the Hollywood Half Marathon team has 6, 000 runners signed up!
I found an interesting quote I want to share with all of you.  Walter Bagehot said, “The greatest pleasure in life is doing the things people say we cannot do.”
Ken asked the Hollywood Half runners to share their greatest
accomplishments and goals in life.  Many responded with incredible
stories of accomplishments they have achieved.  Others shared what
some of their goals in life are.  And let me tell you, we have some
astounding purpose driven runners who will be running with us
next month.  These runners range from celebrities to war veterans
to a man pushing his brother in a wheelchair to teachers in our
schools and those who have been told they would never be able to
run who now find themselves running!  The Hollywood Half
Marathon is history in the making.  People from all walks of life are
coming together to proudly take their place in the Inaugural
Hollywood Half Marathon!
Stay tuned bloggers…I will be conducting interviews with several
runners who shared their accomplishments and goals.  I wish I were
able to interview all of you!  I was deeply moved by what many of
you shared with our staff.  However, as the old saying goes, “a
good report makes the bones fat”, rest assured the interviewed
runners will most definitely encourage you with their amazing
accomplishments and goals.
Get your calendars out runners! The countdown has begun!

See you at City Walk…
